George Washington High School, Bridgeport High School, Hurricane High School, and Jefferson High School are the top ranked schools across the state. 77% of high school students graduate, while 3.8% dropout.

Almost 30% of West Virginias population over the age of 18 has earned a Bachelors degree or above. Proportionate to the rest of the nation there was a high percentage of people who earned a degree in Teacher Education for 2014 academic year.
