HVAC Resume Structure

An HVAC technician is a valuable worker trained to diagnose and fix any problems with HVAC units, heating and cooling systems. Here’s what you need to know about appealing to recruiters as an HVAC service technician.

Your resume structure will depend on the resume format you select. The chronological format highlights work experience, the functional format highlights skill and the combination format highlights both equally. Regardless of the resume format, you’re going to use these sections on your HVAC resume:

Contact information

The resume header at the top of the resume contains your contact information. List your full name, phone number, email address, and job networking profile links, such as LinkedIn.

Resume summary or objective

Next is your resume summary or resume objective. This is a 2-3 sentence paragraph near the top of your resume that encapsulates your experience, key achievements and best skills.

Skills

The skills section is one of the most important parts of your resume because the technical skills required to be an HVAC expert are pretty extensive. Here are some examples of skills to add to your HVAC technician resume:
